I really enjoyed the RESERVATION DOGS first two eps of this season, especially the second one. The scene at the river with the prayer and the singing was absolutely wonderful, and the sense of danger for the two runaways was very real.

I get ads for RESERVATION DOGS all the time as I wander around the web. In one notable example, I was on a native news site reading a story and the only interstitial ad in the story, like 6 times, was RESERVATION DOGS.

It does seem unlikely we'll get a third season of RUTHERFORD FALLS and that's a shame. There's some wonderful characters and actors there, and I always enjoy my visit. Makes me mad that nobody knows Peacock shows exist. Girls5eva, people!

This reminds me I need to watch Rutherford Falls. I will be watching Reservation Dogs weekly. So I will only have the Catholic guilt for the former if it gets axed.

Reservation Dogs was my favorite new series last year, and the first 2 episodes of season 2 only make me more excited for its future. On Twitter, at least, it seems to have many fans, and I did my part to Tweet about it because I'm also afraid that not enough people are watching this amazing show.

That all said, why no mention of Dark Winds?? I spent a good part of watching the new Rez Dogs episodes being embarrassed that I had failed to recognize just how many actors the two shows share.

Dark Winds is also written, directed, and starring native americans in a way that feels quite different to anything that has come before it--despite the other Tony Hillerman attempts over the years.

Reservation Dogs has been on my watchlist for a loooonnng time. I think I'm getting closer and closer to actually watching it, mind you.

This article also reminded me that for all its flaws, the Motherland: Fort Salem series was a pretty good example of Native Americans representation, without it being the main theme of the show at all (which I find even rarer that shows dedicated to a certain group or community).

I guess I'm part of the problem. I'd like to watch these shows but I don't even have Peacock or Hulu accounts at the present moment. I tend to cycle in and out of streaming services depending on what I'm up for watching at the moment. I've got Paramount+ right now, but I'm thinking I'll have to get Hulu soon so I can watch Prey and the new season of Only Murders.
