The answer to a question I’ve been posing throughout these reviews was arguably in plain sight the whole time. The question, to remind you, is “What exactly is The Mandalorian about in its third season?” I should’ve been paying more attention to the credits to figure things out. If you watched the first season of Peacock’s Poker Face and followed along at Episodic Medium in my weekly reviews,1 then you know a bugaboo of mine was that the opening credits sometimes ended up teasing the arrival of a recurring performer whose presence would be better left unspoiled.
Like Poker Face, The Mandalorian is not a show that boasts a massive ensemble.
