When you introduce so many different advantages to the game of Survivor, there’s always the possibility that they will end up in the hands of a single player. Normally, the game handicaps against this because the other players will naturally avoid giving one person too much power or opportunity, but no one would guess that Drea would hold this many advantages: the amulet was entirely random and happened in the middle of a challenge, and you can’t control who finds an immunity idol once you literally just tie it to a branch on a tree after they’ve completely failed to find it in the first ten days.1
Drea frames this as “Survivor Rich,” although I wonder how true that will prove as the game goes on. Thus far, she has been playing far enough under the radar that she isn’t perceived as a threat, but every tribe now knows she has an immunity idol and probably …
