Review: Yellowjackets, “Thanksgiving (Canada)” | Season 3, Episode 6
As one story comes to an end, season three finally gets into what it’s really about
Earlier this season, while looking for a quote from showrunner Ashley Lyle to quote in a review, I stumbled upon one particularly unenlightening interview excerpt. “Another thing I think I can elaborate on slightly without being too spoilery is that one of the big, primary, macro, over-arching questions that people have is: What did they do out there?” Lyle said in a feature that dropped the same day as the first two episodes of season three. “That’s something raised in the very first episode of the show, and I think I can say with a lot of confidence that we learn a lot more about what they did out there this season.”
I immediately texted the quote to my sister, laughing at how little information it actually conveyed. “We’ll learn more about what they did out there this season? No shit,” I said. She played along, replying, “One thing we learn more about in this season of TV is what happens in it.”
