Review: What We Do In The Shadows, "The Wedding" | Season 4, Episode 6
The big day arrives for Nandor and Marwa… and for the Djinn, who in nearing the end of his wish-contract
As we move into the second half of what’s shaping up to be an all-time great What We Do in the Shadows season, let’s take a moment to remember where we are in all our various storylines — especially since not all of them were a big part of tonight’s more A-plot-centric episode, “The Wedding.”
Let’s start with Nadja, who was disappointed by her lack of power on the Supreme Vampiric Council in London, and so quit and came home to New York, where she has enlisted the local Vampiric Council’s persnickety caretaker, The Guide, to help her open a vampire nightclub named Nadja’s — which so far has been a huge success, despite some labor trouble with the Guide’s army of Wraiths and the occasional accidental murder. They’ve even been attracting a crowd of rich humans with their expensive cocktails, which is good, because Nadja likes how the gourmet preferences of wealthy folks fattens them up and leaves them tasting “buttery on my tongue.” (“Rich humans are basically like veal,” she sa…
