Fair or not, the popularity of the original Star Wars trilogy is such that any follow-ups arrive with a specific set of preconceived notions. The very existence of George Lucas’ prequel trilogy was built on a few immutable facts that each entry was building towards. These were less a set of tropes that may be utilized in other science-fiction stories, and more directly about the fates of certain characters who serve as foundational elements of anything remotely related to the galaxy far, far away. One such element is that while the Force exists around all living beings, that strange power is wielded only by a select few, used for pure good or seemingly pure evil.
That’s what makes Jod Na Nawood such a head-scratcher. Now, admittedly, the fact that everyone he comes across knows him by a slew of different names means we still don’t truly know him ourselves. “You Have a Lot to Learn About Pirates” doesn’t clear anything up about hi…
