Review: Shrinking, "Get in the Sea" | Season 2, Episode 7
Sometimes, even the smallest details of a season become semi-spoilers
Apple’s willingness to have complete seasons available for review is a tremendous boon to critics, generally speaking, but it does come with some hazards if you—like me—are choosing to watch an episode at a time. None of the critics I follow have flagrantly spoiled details from future episodes of Shrinking, mind you, but their reviews and posts about the season nonetheless frame my experience in ways that I wouldn’t have access to otherwise.
Accordingly, I went into Liz’s storyline with Mac absolutely certain that she’d go through with it because I had seen a post on Bluesky from Linda Holmes where she talked about Ted McGinley having some more dramatic material to work with this season. I’m not mad about that, to be clear, but it meant that I knew there was no shaking it.
