Review: Only Murders in the Building, "CoBro" | Season 3, Episode 7
Star cameos are balanced by familiar faces as the investigation breaks open

Only Murders in the Building likes to change its central narrator, although it rarely does so in a substantive way: for example, Kimber was our point-of-view for a critical episode earlier in the season, but once she was removed as a suspect it’s as if she wasn’t even a part of the show, whether due to scheduling commitments or simply disinterest on the part of the writers. And so when the episode begins with Jackie Hoffman’s recognizable voice and we encounter Uma mourning Bunny at the Pickle Diner, I didn’t jump to any conclusions about her becoming critical to the story: it was just a literary device the show can use to jump off of as need be.
It serves as an interesting point of contrast, though, between this and past seasons. Whereas those used the Arconia as a grounding mechanism, its residents a source of continuity, Death Rattle Dazzle has pulled the show away from its roots more often. While Oliver still continues to ine…
