Review: Mythic Quest, "Second Skeleton” | Season 4, Episode 5
Past and future collide as the Mythic Quest team make some big decisions
Having spent a lot of time catching up on Mythic Quest in advance of the fourth season premiere, something I’ve noticed is how much overlap there is between the cast and the creative team. Even leaving aside Rob McElhenney’s heavy involvement as both showrunner and lead actor, the majority of the ensemble has a writing or directing credit to their name throughout the series. Review the list of episodes and you’ll see a lot of familiar names show up: David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, Charlotte Nicdao, Naomi Ekpergin, even recurring players like Humphrey Ker and Aparna Nancherla.
It came to mind while watching “Second Skeleton,” both because it’s the first shared writing/directing credit for Burch after several outings in both roles, and also because I think it’s something that’s critical to Mythic Quest’s success.
