One way to get around a drifting third season in which your characters are all separated from each other? A standalone Christmas episode that throws them all back together for silly reasons.
“12 Hours of Christmas” is probably not going to go down as the greatest episode in Mythic Quest history (commence your arguments in the comments about what is), but it does serve as a good reminder that it’s nice to get these folks in a room together. For one of the only times this season, the whole gang is hanging around MQ HQ. David and Jo try to make the perfect Christmas for their employees, as in one that involves working an overnight shift to keep the MQ servers running as each time zone opens their Christmas presents. Ian and Poppy have nothing better to do because they’re both oddballs who are semi-estranged from their families, so they kick around the office. And Brad works his usual wizardry to keep Rachel and Dana focused on a monetization strategy and in the office.
