Review: Masters of the Air, "Part Seven" | Season 1, Episode 7
Who's ready for a great escape?

If you have read my previous Masters of the Air reviews, you know I’ve said that I have not watched ahead. Like you, I’m watching this series week to week. Though that strategy hasn’t changed even as we enter the final third of this limited series, I did get a bit curious in skimming the Wikipedia page for John “Bucky” Egan in between watching “Part Six” and “Part Seven.” I’ve noted in past reviews that the online information about Egan or Buck Cleven—both of whom start and end “Part Seven” still ensconced in Stalag Luft III in Sagan, Germany—at least clarifies that the men survived the war. But before watching “Part Seven,” I revisited Egan’s page and spotted that he (at least) spent many months at the Stalag. Last week’s episode built to the idea that with Cleven and Egan together again, maybe they’d bring together their fellow American POWs and attempt an escape.
