An inevitable fate befalls one of our major players

That reasoning is at the center of Justified: City Primeval. You never know if the person you’re engaging in a bit of road rage with will care enough to become homicidal. You never know if the goofball Albanian mark’s family is going to care enough about him to start a blood feud. You never know who is going to do what they have to do because they’re in a dead judge’s little black book. But there are, of course, things you do know. You know how a Deputy U.S. Marshal will feel about you threatening his teenage daughter. You know that a homicidal road rager isn’t going to take too kindly to someone close to him betraying him. And you absolutely know that if Raylan Givens keeps focusing on the fact that something more than meets the eye is happening in a case, chances are high that something more than meets the eye is, in fact, happening in a case—even if the series itself reall…
