For some reason I’m reminded of a toy floating in a swimming pool. Something seen in a cold open that portends terrible death. Not sure why that popped into my head. Probably nothing!
Just like the first two episodes, we are flying through the fallout of the botched operation at Lalo’s compound. And while the plot is a lot clearer and easier to follow in “Rock and Hard Place,” the implications of what is happening take a while to sink in. Nacho figured it out a lot quicker than I did.
And I should have known! Here’s a peek inside the world of a TV critic: If we’re lucky and the production company or network is kind, we get screeners to watch the episodes ahead of time. Along with those come restrictions on what details we can’t mention in any pre-air reviews.
