The Dragon Queen takes center stage as things fall apart for everybody

Bad Monkey has a lot of parallel characters. Who they are changes week to week, but every episode draws a line between at least two people, showing how they’re on similar journeys even if they don’t necessarily go about it the same way. For much of the show, it’s been Yancy and Neville, who have similar philosophies of life—however, it’s also been Yancy and Nick, two large men who don’t know when enough is enough, and Eve and Bonnie, who both have sociopathic tendencies. Last week, it was the Dragon Queen and Bonnie, who were both at crossroads regarding who they wanted to be in the future. This week, it’s the Dragon Queen and Eve. The show spells out their connection explicitly: Eve and the Dragon Queen are both great at reading people, and Eve says that they both want to have a beautiful life and will do anything to get it. The difference between them is that Eve truly has no limit to how far she will go, while the Dragon Queen does—she just doesn’t know where it is …
