“Once a rebel, always a rebel.”
Last week at ScreenCrush, Matt Singer wrote a very astute article—from the vantage point of, I regretfully note to you expert viewers, a more casual fan—pointing out that for a show called Ahsoka, this show does not seem terribly interested in focusing on Ahsoka Tano. At one point in “Fallen Jedi,” she notes that she’s not interested in talking about her past. Of course, it’s no real problem that the clear arc for this series belongs to Sabine Wren, who presumably will be much more confident in her abilities as a Mandalorian if not a Padawan over the ensuing four installments. But Singer’s article was in my head as I watched “Fallen Jedi” and considered Rosario Dawson’s strangely stiff, wooden performance.
