The downturn officially hits The O.C.'s sophomore season
Until we get to a certain Atwood arc, I think I’ve provided enough preamble for this season. Let’s get into it.
“The Accomplice”
As I was writing my notes for “The Accomplice” —and as you can imagine, I write a lot of notes in general for the shows I review but especially for The O.C.—I realized that I had so much more to say about this episode than I had previously imagined. Last week, while I called “The Ex-Factor” the shift and pivot point for this season into a downward trajectory, I really didn’t have all that much to say about it otherwise. I noted that it was perhaps the low point of an otherwise fairly strong start and first half of this season, giving a sample of what was to come moving forward but not really showing the full picture as to what issues were really there. But here in “The Accomplice,” that picture is pretty damn clear.
